Toshiba Keyboard Backlight Not Working Windows 10

Hey, I just tried the download, but again, the F3 and F4 do not work, and still no keyboard backlighting, but the other F keys are operational. I am wondering if this is a BIOS issue? Any help is appreciated. Again, I have an older G73 machine and have recently 'upgraded' to Windows 10, thanks. So as the thread title says, my G53SX keyboard backlight stopped working after I installed Windows 8.1 Pro. Before suggesting, yes I already checked ASUS's driver updates page for this model and all of my Windows updates have been installed. I can't seem to find a fix or a driver anywhere online. Some users who were using ASUS branded laptops have reported that the keyboard backlight failed to work after their windows were updated to Windows 10 from Windows 8 or other versions of windows. ASUS uses its proprietary software to handle various features and gestures of their laptops, this software is called the ATK package.

Did your keyboard and touch pad stop working after upgrade to Windows 10 or your laptop keyboard stops working after Windows 10 cumulative update? If you have these issues, this article is right for you. I have upgraded my laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 about half month ago. Everything has been working fine until this week. My keyboard no longer works in Windows 10, I just feel my keyboard is gone. When you press any keys on the keyboard, the touch pad and keyboard not responsive at all. I can’t even input my password to log in Windows 10. I can use the external USB mouth to pop up the virtual keyboard in Windows 10. That’s how I managed to log in my computer. However the issue persisted, as I can’t use keyboard to input or type anything any where in Windows 10. The CapsLk key does not light on when you press it which should normally do when your keyboard is responding. Tried to boot my PC into the BIOS interface, you know what the keyboard works there. So it should be a issue with the Windows OS. The original Windows 10 version worked just fine. It should be some Windows 10 update that has caused this keyboard not working problem. As far as I remember my Windows system has upgraded several times in August. Restarting computer however seems to fix the issue temporarily. When I switch on the laptop another day or the next time, the keyboard no longer works again.
